Dr. Cox Elected Fellow of OSA

Dr. Charles H. Cox III, President and CEO of Photonic Systems Inc., was recently elected a Fellow of the Optical Society of America (OSA). The honor recognized Dr. Cox for “outstanding research and development contributions in photonic links and their applications.” Fellowship is awarded to select members who have made significant contributions to the advancement of optics. The number of OSA Fellows is limited to no more than 10 percent of total OSA membership.

OSA was founded more than 90 years ago and was organized to increase and diffuse the knowledge of optics, pure and applied. Since then, The Optical Society of America has evolved into a global enterprise serving a worldwide constituency and since 2008 the Society has been known as OSA - The Optical Society. The Optical Society brings together optics and photonics scientists, engineers, educators and business leaders from over 95 countries.

PSI Invited to Speak at OFC/NFOEC

Charlie Cox, PSI’s President, has been invited to present at the 2011 OFC/NFOEC conference and exhibition being held in Los Angeles, CA on March 6-10. OFC/NFOEC is the largest global conference and exposition for optical communications and networking professionals.  Dr. Cox’s presentation entitled Transmit Isolating Photonic Receive Links: a New Capability for Antenna Remoting will be part of the Optical Processing and Analog Subsystems topic category.
