DESCRIPTIONS

Position: Facility Security Officer (FSO) / Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO)

Description:           

Photonic Systems provides world leading microwave photonic research, engineering, and product solutions to the US government, defense and commercial markets. PSI’s products and services enable a broad range of system performance, from basic transmission of RF over fiber for antenna remoting to complex signal processing required in communication and defense applications. Duties:                          

  • Administers the Personnel Security Program.  Manages the JPAS, EFCL & IFSD accounts.  Prepares routine classified visit requests through JPAS.  Oversees visitor access and control procedures.

  • Administers the Physical Access Control Program. 

  • Responds to facility alarms and maintains the XO-9 and mechanical locking devices. Changes combinations when required.

  • Conducts self-inspections and internal audits.  Prepares facility for government assessments.

  • Writes or edits security manuals, policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

  • Conducts initial, recurring briefings and debriefings, security awareness special briefings.

  • Updates company Training and Security awareness presentations in order to remain current.

  • Maintains security files/folders in accordance with DSS and other DoD SAP regulatory requirements.

  • Serves as a COMSEC Responsible Officer.Prepares security inputs for contract bid / proposal activities – including reviewing DD-254 contract security requirements

  • Investigates security violations/infractions and prepare administrative inquiries.

  • Will assist with classified Information System security oversight

  • ITAR and Property Management per direction of the VP, Finance & Administration

Qualifications:            

  • US Citenship required

  • DoD Top Secret, within 5 year investigation scope.

  • Must have or be able to obtain DSS FSO certification.

  • Special Access Program experience.

  • Must have or be able to take COMSEC training.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent training and experience in industrial security and special access programs) plus 3-5 years related experience desired.

  • Excellent writing, speaking and customer skills are required.

  • Classified computer system training and experience highly desired

Senior Staff Engineer

Photonic Systems, Inc. (PSI) designs and manufactures innovative RF front-end solutions for a wide range of defense, wireless communications, research, and government customers.  PSI’s products and engineering services impart advanced performance to applications ranging from the transmission of RF signals over fiber optic cable for antenna remoting to single or MIMO-based antenna interfaces with game-changing new capabilities such as simultaneous transmit and receive (STAR) using the same RF frequency channel.  PSI is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer with Program Management expertise who thrives in dynamic innovative work environments.

Duties:

Under the direction of the Vice President of Research & Development, staff members holding this position

  • Perform tests and measurements on electronic components, modules, and systems at RF, microwave and millimeter-wave frequencies
  • Generate and maintain organized documentation of all measured data
  • Assist with product improvement activities and new product introduction
  • Maintain and organize R&D and product development laboratories
  • Provide presentation materials for, and participate in, meetings and performance reviews with customers
  • Compose written material for reports and proposals

Key Qualifications

  • US citizenship
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with three years experience in electronic or optoelectronic test, assembly and evaluation, or Associate of Science (AS) degree with eight years of such experience
  • Understanding of the operation and figures of merit governing RF components and subsystems
  • Thorough knowledge of how to characterize RF components and subsystems using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, noise figure meters and oscilloscopes, including how to set up and modify the parameters of such tests, and how to calibrate the equipment
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision

       Effective written and verbal communications

       Ability to multitask, effectively manage time, prioritize workload and work under firm and quick turnaround deadlines

       Proficiency in Microsoft Office

       Current or past DoD security clearance a plus

 

RF Test Engineer
